Shawn Michaels & Bret Hart To Revisit WWE Montreal Screwjob

Shawn Michaels
The WWE will be producing what could be one of the most fascinating DVDs in company history. Reports indicate that one of the most infamous wrestling stories will be revisited with the two principal parties facing off for the first time ever on WWE home video.

Dave Meltzer and several others report that Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels will sit down for a ground breaking DVD at WWE headquarters. According to several reports, the two former WWE champions will face off and talk about their lengthy rivalry from the Rockers vs. the Hart Foundation all the way up to and including the Montreal Screwjob. Yes, it lives again!

Meltzer wrote in this week's Wrestling Observer newsletter - "Another project they were working on was a DVD where Michaels and Bret Hart would get together in two chairs next to each other and discuss their careers and everything leading to Montreal."

I’ve gotten more emails and Tweets @JRsBBQ about this topic than any individual top in years. Some of the questions are so embarrassingly bad that I’ve deleted then to protect the innocent. Every thing to what the guys were wearing to what they had for breakfast to whether or not their answers were all scripted to if they physically fought on the set.

The interview was real. The answers were real. They did not know the questions that I was going to ask ahead of time. Their reactions were real. I realize that because of the genre that there will be doubters but when one sees the finished product I think all concerns about realism and honesty will be alleviated. Plus, this project wasn’t solely about ‘Montreal’ even though the ’97 Survivor Series was throughly addressed.

It's a long summer's day

Summer Day
The summer solstice is a time of rejoicing and across the world people celebrate the event in different ways. This is because the sun is associated with life and agriculture.

June 21 is an especially long day. No, not because you have school and tons of homework. It really is a long day, the longest day of the year. It is the summer solstice. It's the time of the year when the earth's axial tilt is most inclined towards the sun. However in the polar regions (where daylight is continuous for many months during spring and summer), the day on which the summer solstice occurs is the day with the longest period of daylight. Thus the seasonal significance of the summer solstice is in the reversal of the gradual shortening of nights and lengthening of days. The summer solstice occurs in June in the Northern Hemisphere and in December in the Southern Hemisphere.
June 21 is a much-awaited day, especially in the Northern Hemisphere. It is when the sun comes into the picture. You may wonder whether it can really be a time for celebration especially when you consider how hot it can get in India.

Yes it is. It's the time of “Midsummer” or the summer solstice.

What is a solstice?

Signifying change

The solstice occurs twice when the earth goes around the sun, or does a circuit of the sun. A circuit of the sun is a year, so there are two solstices a year.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the winter solstice is in late December and the summer solstice is in late June. In the Southern Hemispheres, the solstices are reversed.

The dictionary says that it is “either of the two times in the year when the sun is at its greatest distance from the celestial equator. In the Northern Hemisphere, the summer solstice, June 21, is the longest day in the year and the winter solstice, December 21 or 22, is the shortest.”

In short, on June 21, 22, summer begins north of the equator while winter begins south of the equator, and on December 21/22, winter begins north of the equator and summer begins south of the equator.

This is how it happens. You must know that the earth spins on its axis, the imaginary line between the north and south poles. A summer solstice is when the tilt is most inclined towards the sun at 23°26'.

The day on which the summer solstice happens is that day of the year with the longest period of daylight.

The significance is that it is a reversal of a shortening of nights and lengthening of days.

Across the world, it is an event that has been recognised and celebrated in different ways. Most often it is seen as an occasion of a renewal of life, and there are holidays, festivals and rituals.

Solstice?

The word solstice is derived from Latin sol which means sun and sistere which means to cause to stand still. This is because as the summer solstice approaches, the sun, at noon, rises higher and higher in the sky on each successive day. On the day of the solstice, it rises to a height which is a bit higher when compared to the day before. In this way, it “stands still”.

Expressions

William Shakespeare's play “A Midsummer Night's Dream” comes to mind as its title is linked to the summer solstice. There are expressions such as “solstitial heat” in terms of being linked to a solstice, and the “solstitial rains.”

At Stonehenge

One of the most famous places in the world where the summer solstice is celebrated is at Stonehenge in the U.K., which is a prehistoric stone monument and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

This year, as in the past, there will be another Stonehenge Summer Solstice tour. On June 21, visitors head to Stonehenge the previous day to be ready to watch the sunrise the next day. At dawn, “the central Altar stone aligns with the Slaughter stone, the Heel stone and the rising sun to the northeast.” It is the most important day of the year at Stonehenge and is a time for celebration .

Sun and celebration

A summer solstice is known by various names mainly because there are spiritual and religious celebrations in June. It is also called “Midsummer” as it is in the growing season across much of Europe. The Sun is associated with life, and agriculture. In some places, it is the time of the first harvest.

Some of the names the summer solstice is known by, especially in Europe, are: “Alban Heflin, Alben Heruin, Feast of Epona, Feast of St. John the Baptist, Feill-Sheathain, Gathering Day, Johannistag, Litha, Midsummer, Sonnwend, Thing-Tide and Vestalia.”

In ancient times, summer was a moment of great joy. It marked a time when life bloomed after a cold and bitter winter had disappeared. The weather was bright and cheery, the flowers were in full bloom and the trees were filled with green leaves. Herbs and medicinal plants could also be harvested. A midsummer sun was said to be good as herbs picked on this day were said to have great strength. In short, it was easy to look for food. Crops were ripe and ready to be harvested.

Sweden, for example, celebrates “Midsommar,” the celebration of summer solstice. In this land where the sun is overshadowed by dark weather and snowy winters, it is a time for joy. It means the golden outdoors, singing and dancing, either around a maypole or a huge bonfire, eating the best of the summer harvest and being merry.

In Hawaii, there are two seasons, the cooler and wetter one called “Ho'oilo,” and the hotter, drier one called “Kau.” Both seasons last for around six months each. In ancient days, the months were marked after spotting stars in the eastern sky at sunset. Their names varied from island to island. The “Kau” started from April to October. In this phase, the month of “Ka'aona” (May-June) marked the summer solstice when the sun rose and set at its northern limit (summer solstice). It was a time when the “Ulu” (breadfruit) ripened and the seas stirred to life when the “Ula” (lobster), the “moi kapu” and the “Aku and'ahi” (tuna) began to breed.

Coke Studio India. June 17th. 7 PM. MTV.

Coke Studio
Coke Studio is finally in India. And while there may be questions about the credibility of the show and comparisons to its much older Pakistani counterpart, I am quite hopeful and almost sure that this will be a wonderful experience for us.

For now, here is some detail about the show, mostly about who all are gonna be there on the show.

The show will have twenty artistes. While the top Bollywood line of the show comprises of Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, KK and Sunidhi Chauhan, we’ll also see Kailash Kher, Richa Sharma, Shruti Pathak, and Benny Dayal from Bollywood singers.
Besides, there will be Raghu Dixit, or should I say The Raghu Dixit Project, the well known name from Bangalore; once so popular Colonial Cousins – Hariharan and Leslie Lewis; comparatively lesser known Bollywood singers Harshdeep Kaur and Akriti Kakkar (Harshdeep is winner of two television reality shows and has even sung for A R Rahman in Rang De Basanti, Akriti has almost twenty movies to her credit where she has sung); and the singer of mora saiyyan, aankhon kay sagar, mitwa, and many more, Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan.

Then there are Sabri Brothers*, Aftab and Hashim Sabri, qawwali singers who have sung for Hindi films as well, my best memory being of Allah Allah from Yeh Dil Ashiqana (no idea how crappy the movie was but the songs were good, the qawwali being one of the best) and Tumse mil ke dil ka hai jo haal from Main hoon na.

Also the show will have Sufi singers Puranchand and Pyarelal Wadali i.e. Wadali Brothers there too. The pair has also sung a couple of songs for Bollywood, the latest being Rangrez in Tanu weds Manu.

In lesser known singers, which could and should make the real life of the show, there will be Assamese Bihu specialist Khagen Gogoi, Tamilnadu’s once-a-singer-at-thirteen Chinna Ponnu, another Assamese Mausam Gogoi, maker of boatmen band Majhi Mallah Saurav Mandal and New Delhi’s eclectic music group Advaita.

What is still a confusion though, is that while the list above is given on the ‘Artists’ page of the Coke Studio website, there is another sentence that says ‘The collaborations are so eclectic as to bring together Shafqat Ali and Shruti Pathak, Sunidhi Chauhan and Wadali Brothers, Kailash Kher and Papon, Shankar Mahadevan and Khogen Da, and Bombay Jayshree, Richa Sharma and Rashid Khan among others‘ while going by the list, I won’t find Papon, Bombay Jayshree and Rashid Khan on the show.

* My guess is that there is some mix up regarding them on the Coke Studio’s official website, they claim that Sabri Brothers are a Pakistani Qawwali party.

2G scam: Kanimozhi to stay in jail as SC adjourns bail plea

2G Scam
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has adjourned the bail plea of DMK MP Kanimozhi to June 20.

The vacation bench of the apex court has asked the CBI to give in detail the status of the case pending in the trial court.

The apex court also asked the CBI as to what is the physical status of Rs 200 crore, which was allegedly paid to Kalaignar TV.

The bench told the accused that their chance of getting bail from the SC is slim.

However, it asked the CBI why it has not questioned the accused even once since May 20, when they were taken into custody.

The adjournment means that Kanimozhi will continue to stay in jail at least till June 20.

The bail plea of Kalaignar TV MD Sharad Kumar has also been adjourned.
Kanimozhi and Kumar had challenged the Delhi high court verdict rejecting their bail pleas.

The high court in its ruling had said that the two accused wielded considerable clout and could influence witnesses.

Kanimozhi and Kumar were arrested on May 20 after the special court dismissed their bail pleas.

Fresh autopsy of UP girl rules out rape, points at murder: Cops

UP Girls
After the first postmortem suggested 'suicide', a fresh autopsy of the 14-year-old girl found dead inside a Uttar Pradesh police station has ruled out rape but indicates the girl could have been murdered.

Under fire from Opposition parties, the Uttar Pradesh government has ordered a CB-CID probe into the alleged rape and murder of the teenager whose body was found in a police station in Lakhimpur district.

The government also ordered a fresh postmortem.

After the case sparked outrage, the government dismissed the earlier postmortem report which said death was caused due to asphyxia. The fresh inquiry into the cause of death was done by a panel of doctors from other districts.

An FIR has been lodged against a sub-inspector and two policemen for allegedly tampering with evidence.
Missing since Friday evening, the girl was found hanging from a tree inside the premises of the Nighasan police station. The victim's mother in her complaint had alleged the girl was raped and murdered.

Police Commissioner, Lucknow, Prashant Trivedi told reporters: “A scene of crime should be left undisturbed. That is standard operating procedure. In this case, that was not done. We have held that as tampering and we have taken a strong view on it. We have lodged an FIR against a sub inspector and two constables.”

“A death in a police station is serious. So more than normal precautions should be taken in handling the case. We are very serious about getting to the truth. We have visited the scene of crime along with the mother of the victim,” he said.

Al Hijra (Conquest by Immigration)

Al Hijra
All engineered by the UN, the Muslim POTUS and the complicit media-critters:

PBS in Tandem with the State Department Smears Shelbyville to Advance Al Hijra (Muslim Immigration)

Pamela Geller:

For years I have been writing about the refugee resettlement program here: Refugee Resettlement: The quiet Jihad tsunami that is wreaking havoc on “gateway cities” like Lewiston, Maine; Shelbyville, Tennessee; St. Cloud, Minnesota; Clarkston, Georgia; and Jamestown, North Dakota.(here)
More deeply disturbing is the UN decides who gets refugee status. I have recounted the subsequent sometimes violent repercussions of these “religious” communities attempting to advance Islamic supremacism by targeting gays and hurling stones at them, trying to impose Muslim prayer on the public schools, imposing sharia law on these workplaces in America (go here and here and here and here and here and here)….

More on al hijra here.

Brian Mosely, staff writer for the Shelbyville Times Gazette, contacted me on the topic of Somali immigration in that small Tennessee community. He has written a number of articles over the past three years dealing with the strains and culture clashes that have occurred as a result of that.

In his email, Mosely describes the Islamic supremacist propaganda war being advanced by the notoriously left PBS (your taxpayer dollars at work) and the Arabist State department:

One of these stories took the national stage in 2008 when the Times-Gazette reported that a new union contract at the Shelbyville Tyson Foods facility replaced Labor Day as a paid holiday with the Muslim festival of Eid al-Fitr.

Following that, a documentary crew came here and shot “Welcome to Shelbyville,” which will air nationwide, May 24 on PBS..

The film received financing and support from progressive migration advocates, with the hand of George Soros thrown into the mix, and has also been sponsored by the state department as overseas propaganda. The “propaganda” label comes from no less an authority than the New York Times

I am in the film and after seeing it in October, found it a completely biased distortion of what has happened, one that depicts myself and Shelbyville as “unwelcoming.” In short, they came to town with a prearranged agenda to link the community with the Jim Crow past and the KKK and then proceeded to stage events with the Soros supported Welcoming Tennessee activist group, but completely edited out important issues like the communality’s reaction and resistance to the demands of the Muslims during the Eid al Fitr controversy. The event is not mentioned at all.

Writing about this topic has so far resulted in my appearance in this left wing movie, as well as a right-wing book. I learned last week that I am in Chapter 4 of Erick Stakelbeck’s The Terrorist Next Door, which examines Somali immigration and is partly based on my work from 2007-2008. Erick came down an shot a segment for the 700 Club with me in 2009 about our situation.

It even got so nuts for this country-boy scribe in 2008 that no less an authority than Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy flew down here to meet with me personally in order to pick my brain about creeping Shariah.

This morning, our paper published an editorial calling into question the motives of the filmmakers, and my publisher has allowed me to take them to task for the way I am portrayed in my blog. I detail my experiences with the director, who was only focused on arriving a prearranged story, no matter what the facts were.

Times Gazette wrote of the film here.

There is quite a bit of money and media support for this effort by the filmmakers and the state department, but I feel that the other side of the story is not being told. I am just a small town journalist with only one voice, and now I learn that the state department is throwing their weight behind this slanted film

Lokmat Pune records 373,808 circulation: ABC Report (Jan to June’10)

The Lokmat Pune is in a celebration mood these days as ABC reflected a substantial gain in the circulation in spite of strong competition.

For the six-month period ending June 30, the newspaper’s daily circulation climbed to 3,73,808 according the recent ABC Jan-June 2010 report.

Pune Edition itself showed a growth of over 1,00,000 copies over the previous period.

“Good journalism & smart marketing has bore results with a quantum jump in our Pune numbers. Pune is an important market for us and our team is geared up to add more copies with every ABC. With the installation of all new colour printing machinery, the stress as always will be to give the readers a quality product” said Rishi Darda Executive Director of Lokmat Group.
The circulation increase was a result of a strategic plan, “Operation Redbox” with sustained efforts to gain new readers The entire circulation teams were made responsible and were given targets and motivated to perform.

Operation Redbox has many firsts…..

Early 2010 saw a price war (not instigated by Lokmat) that led to the Pune Newspapers Hawkers Union going on an indefinite strike in Pune city and PCMC area. But the circulation teams were quick to respond with a plan to counter the situation. (the strike has since been withdrawn and copies are being distributed everywhere)

An independent distribution network of hawkers, a media first, to sell the paper, was created on a war footing. Milk delivery boys, grocery stores boys, cash sale boys, a strong team of 1500, were all roped in. The Event teams at Lokmat carried out a road show and exhibited the new team with full josh. More than 1100 stalls (more than union hawkers stalls) were appointed and a task force of 1500 selling boys became the home grown distribution network that sold copies to Pune city and PCMC areas.

To increase visibility an out of home promotional activity was carried out which included PMPM bus back panels in catchment areas and beach umbrellas with messages were displayed at important locations. Cable ads were also released. Banners were displayed on all stalls to boost the sale.

A Toll free number activity was initiated specially for the readers. All the calls were summarized and area wise line copies were developed through a new system.

For development of line sale a daily coupon was published in the newspaper and readers filled the coupon and submitted the same at the stall counter. With this a new line sale was developed from the system.

Another major first was that Lokmat published the Pune editions on both, 2nd May and 16th August, while competing newspapers did not publish issues due to Ist May, Maharashtra Day and 15th August, Independence Day being public holidays.

On 16th August the print order was more than 5 lac copies, a record at Lokmat. This has created history in the group and is a new model for circulation growth .

As Bharat Kapadia, Director on Board commented “ We are glad to have struck a chord with the Punekars/ites/neris and efforts continue to improve our offering to the discerning readers. Lokmat is a leader in Maharashtra & Goa and we wish to establish clear leadership in all our markets.”.

Ramesh Wanjale Dead

Ramesh Wanjale
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s MLA Ramesh Wanjale (46) died of cardiac arrest in a city hospital at 9.50 pm on Friday.

“Wanjale was brought to the hospital at 8.30 pm with no recordable blood pressure and no pulse. We tried to resuscitate him by administering all emergency medical help, but could not succeed. He was declared dead at 9.50 pm,” said Prasad Mugalikar, director, medical services at Jehangir Hospital.

Wanjale had an appointment for an MRI scan at Joshi Hospital on Friday after he complained of shoulder and spinal pain. “He was advised to undergo shoulder, cervical spine and whole spine screening. He arrived at around 7 pm at the MRI section. He collapsed soon after he was taken for screening. Our doctors revived his heart beat with the help of a cardiac massage and a cardiac defibrillator. But his relatives insisted on taking him to Jehangir Hospital. An ambulance with doctors accompanied him. His son-in-law was with him along with some party workers,” Ashish Atre, radiologist at Joshi Hospital, said.

As news about Wanjale’s condition spread, party workers gathered at Jehangir Hospital where there was heavy police bandobast. Deputy commissioner of police zone I Dnyaneshwar Phadtare said, “As a precautionary measure, we have stepped up police security in the city.”
Wanjale was a colourful personality__ his physique and the gold that he always wore made him stand out. The MLA, who sang Tukaram’s abhangs, was a household name in his Khadakwasla constituency from where he won the assembly election in 2009.

Soon after, he was suspended along with three other MNS MLAs for causing a ruckus in the assembly after Samajwadi party MLA Abu Azmi took the oath in Hindi instead of Marathi. Wanjale had rushed to the well of the house and lifted the podium to disrupt the proceedings. The suspension was later revoked.

Wanjale took on the Congress-NCP alliance in Khadakwasla, which is a part of the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency. He defeated Vikas Dangat of the Congress and the BJP’s Murlidhar Mohol.

He wore nearly two kg of gold while campaigning and said he wanted transparency so that he would not be accused of making money after he became an MLA.

Wanjale came into the political arena when he became the sarpanch of Ahire village. He was a Congressman when he became the deputy chairman of the Pune zilla parishad. Wanjale changed parties when he was denied a ticket to contest the assembly polls.

Five People Shot in Brighton Beach, One Dead

The heat makes people angry--and shoot-y--and down at Brighton Beach on Thursday afternoon, a gunman shot five along the boardwalk, critically wounding one person and killing another. The area was especially crowded today because it was "Brooklyn-Queens Day," and hundreds of kids were in the area celebrating their day off from school. At least one witness on the scene believes it was gang-related. "I think some gang things were happening because we heard some shots one hour earlier,” said Saya Suzuki, who was at the scene with her daughter. Pat Singer, president of the Brighton Beach Neighborhood Association seemed to agree. "These kids come not to swim, they come for turf fights," he said.

Man walks in Mumbai hospital with 6-ft rod through his abdomen

It was a mundane Sunday for doctors at Sanjeevani hospital in Malad, when 22-year-old Nirmal Mahaldar gave them the shock of their lives. The young man walked into the hospital holding a six-feet iron rod pierced through his stomach.

The doctors performed a life-saving surgery on Mahaldar, a labourer who hails from Bihar.

Recalling the incident, Mahaldar said, "I was trying to fix the tarpaulin in my makeshift home in an under construction building as the rains had hit the city. My friend was passing the rods to me and suddenly a gush of wind knocked me off balance. I fell backwards and the rod pierced my body."
His friends called for an ambulance but Mahaldar could not fit into it either owing to the awkward angle and length of the pierced rod.

"Somehow I managed to sit in the ambulance holding the rod," recalls Mahaldar. Fortunately the rod had pierced the lower body of Mahaldar, and passed through the Mesocolon (fatty layer attached to the large intestine) and Omentum (fatty tissue above the intestine).

"While performing the surgery we had to remove the Omentum completely. The organs were punctured at two places and after suturing the Mesocolon, we sutured the wound," said Dr Sunil Agarwal of Sanjeevani hospital.

Two days after the surgery, Mahaldar has recovered and is scheduled to be discharged as soon as the wound heals.

"I am a labourer and my life revolves around such rods. I will always remain and actually experience the pain every time I see a rod," concluded Mahaldar.

'Isn't this image sleazy?'

Delhi Belly music director is now circulating pictures from Anubhav Sinha's film 'Cash'. Wonders if he showed it to his son?

After blasting at the quality of songs in Anubhav Sinha's film Cash, Ram Sampat, who lent his music and voice for Aamir Khan's Delhi Belly, has gone a step further.
He sent us photographs from two numbers of the Dia Mirza and Ajay Devgn-starrer and questions the Ra.One director about them.

Talking about the photos, Ram says that besides the lyrics of the songs in Cash, he also finds the picturisation very provocative.

"There is a lot of skin show in these songs. Apart from skimpily-clad women there is pole dancing, chest heaves and butt jerks.

Nobody had a problem when the Censor Board approved this. He (Sinha) is fine with his kid seeing this! This is blatant hypocrisy," he says.

Cheap publicity

"It's very cheesy to comment on our song when he has done this kind of work himself. It's not like he has made Rajshri- style films! The board has approved our song.

To cast aspersions on our intentions after the song has become successful is an act of cheap publicity," Sampat further adds.

So, why has Aamir Khan kept a mum on this issue? The music composer says, "He doesn't want to react. The only conversation I had with him was that I would like to express myself.

He said, 'alright if you want to speak. I am not going to speak'."

Sinha is directing Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One. So, is this actually a clash of Aamir and SRK? "It doesn't need to be. We wish Ra.One very well," Ram says.

Kanimozhi's mother, Rajathi Ammal, was in tears in court after her daughter's application for bail was rejected by the Delhi High Court in the 2G scam case.

"Considering the political and financial clout of the accused, the possibility of them tampering with evidence and influencing witnesses, the magnitude of the offence they've been charged with, their bail pleas are dismissed," said the judge. He also refused bail to Sharad Kumar, who co-owns a TV channel with Kanimozhi in Chennai.
The young MP from the DMK has been accused of accepting a Rs. 214-crore bribe along with former Telecom Minister A Raja, who is also from her party, and is now in jail. She was arrested in May by the CBI, which is investigating the 2G scam, described as India's largest-ever swindle. The judge today said, "There's prima facie evidence to suggest they were beneficiaries and received illegal gratification."

Kanimozhi's lawyer had applied for bail on the grounds that she needs to look after her young son, since her husband travels abroad frequently for work. DMK leader TR Baalu, who was present in court today, said they would approach the Supreme Court soon against the High Court verdict.

While he was Telecom Minister in 2008, Mr Raja allegedly presented telecom licenses and spectrum to companies at hefty bargains that cost the country thousands of crores. One of those firms- Swan Telecom- is accused of repaying him by sending him a cheque for Rs. 214 crores that was deposited with Kalaignar TV. Kanimozhi and her stepmother are both large shareholders in the company.

Kanimozhi has described the money as a payment for an equity deal which was returned with interest once the deal fell apart. The CBI counters that the money was sent back only after it began investigating Mr Raja.

Kanimozhi's imprisonment has become the latest stress-test of her family's alliance with the Congress. Her father, DMK President M Karunanidhi, earlier this week, blamed the Centre for her predicament. "She's in prison either because of the Centre's order or indifference," he said in his constituency of Tiravur. He also said that in jail, his daughter "will wilt like a flower."

‘India Against Corruption’ Launches Twitter App

To inspire an online movement, you need people to help spread your message. The brains behind ‘India Against Corruption‘ understand this well, and they have introduced a Twitter application yesterday to help spread words even farther.

The Twitter application does only one thing: It automatically retweets selected tweets and Facebook updates from ‘India Against Corruption’ through your Twitter . In other words, you need to place full faith and trust in the ‘India Against Corruption’ team to use the app.
It is a pretty creative way to garner support and spread words though. Within a day, the app has attracted more than 100 users and helped the movement reach more than 14,000 people.

In case you missed our previous report, India is now going through a period of struggle as the nation fights against corruption. The movement was inspired by Anna Hazare’s ‘Fast Unto Death’ campaign in April. Hazare only stopped his fast when the government agreed to work on the Jan Lopak bill, which promises to eradicate corruption.

But nothing much has been changed since then. Pressure keeps building up on the government as Swami Ramdev, India’s most famous yoga guru, went on a hunger strike yesterday calling on his supporters to join him. It was also predicted that a whopping 10 million people will join Ramdev’s protest, according to Reuters.

In addition to this Twitter app, the team also has a technology page which provides users with plenty of options to get involved, ranging from a Facebook app to browser app to help the movement.
