U r supposed to enjoy the visuals in 3D - it is not a 3d movie that is designed to poke eyes. For good 3 d or 4 d effects best place is universal studios where seats tilt, blow air and sprinkle water , rats and cats roam around as if real :)

I understand your frustration.
Firstly, IMHO, calling our contributions to IV as a donation is not the right word. I think IV must reword Donation to something else, so that people don't feel like they are doing a charity.
Secondly, fwiw, I can vouch for IV and guarantee you that there's no cheating here and nobody is stealing your money. There was no fine-print anywhere. There could be a lapse on some individuals, but that's understandable as everyone is like you & me working full-time elsewhere on a VISA in this country.
Lastly, folks have just come back from hectic advocacy days, give them a week to look at your issue. I'm sure there would be a way-around. fwiw, I'm waiting for my account to be enabled as well:)

I have not worked in Europe, but i believe EU has it own set of problems regarding assimilating Immigrants into their community (who is to blamed for this is debateble, the immigrant or the government) The recent riots in france would attest to this fact. Although the rioting factions were basically north african kids.
I think , we in the USA have a better shot at being assimilated into the society rather then ending up in some suburban EU Ghetto (?)

Every active member from tri-state area had to work against all odds to motivate fellow members to attend the rally. Even though we couldn't out number CA folks but our determination won lots of heart. Those who came for the rally did find renewed enthusiasm towards IV's efforts and saw first hand how being part of IV is fun and educating. yes you can use EAD to join a new job..but what i would do if i were you is ... do an H1-B transfer so that your H1-b stays alive and gives the necessary buffer and fallback in case of problems with future employer.
if that is not possible, use your EAD.

USCIS makes mistakes all the time but can ammend approvals as and when they are discovered. If this discovery happens some time in the future, and if it is determined that you are out of status, then all these years of struggle will be on the line. It is highly recommended to get the error corrected.
ultimately, it's your .... (you know the anatomy),. USCIS, attorneys , employers might express regret but once you are out of status it will be difficult to defend your case if not impossible. rats leave sinking ship in a jiffy.
like the old saying .... 'don't aspire for what you do not deserve ...',
being honest here ultimately would benefit you by atleast not harming your case , with this situation.:D

Well, I also would like to reiterate that rally is a big success. But I felt that there should have been more members. I work for a company in VA and there are many people in the company, but that's only me and my colleague (that I pulled) showed up. Folks , don't flame me because this is a friend of friend info. This person came into USA in around Dec2009, without informing the petitioning employer.He found a job in last few days and approached the employer.His employer is asking him to leave the country and saying he would revoke h1.
This guy wants to report to DOL and get back pay but he will have to misrepresent some information to make his case. If he tells DOL that I came and never informed the employer I am doubting DOL will side with employer. I was advising my friend that a bigger concern is if he lies to make his case and that lie is found out he may be in bigger trouble for lying on official form and supplying false info to a govt official.A am advising that the best would be to either get the matter resolved by negotiation and if the employer doesn't budge, leave the country.
Can some one comment if my doubts are unjustified?
Part II: Will this friend be in trouble ,if he helps the guy with lying and the follow-up process.

Since you friend never reported to work or notify the employer...the employer is not liable. Your friend will never get any claim. Worst case the DOL will investigate and rule in favour of the employer. You friend is nothing more than a greedy half baked Idiot.

Absolutely not. Snathan's sister is the only person authorized to withdraw her own I-485. If she has signed an attorney entry of appearance (form G-28), then the attorney could make a request to withdraw on her behalf, but to do so without express written permission from her would be a very serious ethical violation.

Believe me or not, Things have really brightened up for me after I registered with this name :) ( July 17th reversal of visa bulletin update, July 18th, Got my I-140 approved without any RFE, my case had a lot of issues which could have resulted in a denial )
