IV had brought in hundreds of T - shirts to hand out. We were giving them out to everyone with a request to contribute on the web site. When we were out,
one of our volunteers, Kaushal, I think (don't know iv handle), he took out his own IV tshirt and gave it away!!
Another thing, I want to thank all the volunteer(s) who were asked to stay back to take care of the origin point and couldn't march in the rally.

That would be the donors and people like you who have our respect. For a grass root level advocacy to work an organization has to be made up of grass root worker. Grass root workers are the people at the bottom of totem pole. In our case that would be EB3 workers now we all know that EB2 workers when they get their green card dissapear from the forum and leaves the EB3 guys to carry the burden (case in point PAPPU the admin who is the only admin i see on the forum since he is eb3) . So finally we are left to handle the IV Movement movind forward. Now if i was an organizer of a movement i would make sure that all the points made by the organisation is directed towards allaying the concern of people who have been impacted most by retrogration (BTW that would be Eb3 guys and not EB23 who by their god given right have first preference over everything and wil get residency soon because they are a preffered catefgory).

A special thanks to the person who was pulling the cart with 2 packs of water bottles all along the Rally and distributing water to all the people who were walking in the Rallly. I tried moving that cart and found that it was TOO Heavy and decided to work on some other volunteering effort. But you did it. Thanks!

Till early part of 2004 or latter part of 2003, most of the Indians applied EB3 very few applied EB2. After 2004, it was reverse. I doubt any one appled EB3 in 2005 0r 2006.
If EB3 stays continously in 2001 and EB2 in 2004 (there is 3 year difference in cutoff date between EB2 and EB3 now), the guys with EB3 PD 2002 and 2003 will convert to EB2 by applying new 140 to transfer PD. This flow will balance the cut-off dates. Eventually it will reach a common ground or a break-even point.

Good to see an EB3 thread with so many people in EB2 getting Greencards these days.
It is a matter of time EB2 I is current and nobody from EB2 will care for EB3. It is comforting that many IV core is EB3 and some good will happen to EB3. A friend of mine with EB3 I PD in 2008 has literally lost all hope of getting greencard and that is very sad. It is painful to see EB2 people not helping EB3 people. Why?

I am on H1B visa. My parents due to medical condition cannot take care of themselves. Can I get them on H4 visa as dependent? I would like to keep them for 2-3 years in US and take care of them. Please let me know my options.

Yupp, we have to go through CP in Montreal. Our PD is Feb/2006. We hope to be current this year ! There seems to be some hope ?????
you may be right, there is much speculation on other threads that i have read that EB3 ROW, will be current by this summer, if not it will atleast show significant move. So i've got my fingers crossed

At this pace, it will take hundreds of years for EB3-I backlog to clear. This per country cap and new spill over process is killing EB3-I and there are no hopes.
We must do something. I wrote several letters to Local Senators, Ms Lofgren, Mr. President, Mr. Vice President but nobody offered any help for me.
Now I am ready for hunger strike. Anybody ?

I e-filed on 2nd June at TSC and around 22nd June, I went for FP. I received CPO email yesterday. I had not seen any LUD after FP. I guess, calling USCIS helps so please keep calling and request them that you need EAD badly. I remember , a couple of days back when I was talking to an lady IO, she said, she can send a request to IO but there is no guarantee that it will help. I guess, that might have made difference. So I would strongly suggest to keep talking to them.

What is the advantage of claiming trader status on your tax return? I buy / sell shares on different days of the week (example: Buy on Monday, Sell on Friday). Does that make me a day trader?

I have a question regarding an appeal I did a year ago for a rejected LC.
I have an approved LC and I-140 on an entry level position (EB3) with my company. after I got a promotion to a senior position that requires a masters degree but with a smilar job description but more senior and supervisory responsabilities with the same company. after promotion, I filed for a new LC (EB2) but it got rejected because DOL thinks it is the same position as the already approved LC. my company and I wrote a letter as an appeal on Sep 2006 within 30 days from rejection of LC to BALCA explaining that new position requires a masters degree and it is a senior position with more supervisory duties. as of today, almost a year later, we haven't heard anything regarding DOL (BALCA) decision on my appeal. is anybody in the same situation?? what should I do next?? also I read somewhere that DOl might revoke the already approved LC EB3 after I filed a second LC for EB2 with the same employer. can DOL revoke the first LC EB3 after I have an approved I-140?? please help. Thanks

Do not get too excited. If we are still in current in the Sep 2010 bulletin, then some reason for hope.
As of now, I only expect < 5% people to get approved this month.
If we are still current for Sep 2010 bulletin, then expect around 35 % to get through.
If we still stay current until the end of the year, expect ~ 80 % to get through.
How did I get the numbers ? My gut feeling.

EB3 ROW is at Jun 2004. If there is to be any chance of spillover from EB3 ROW, EB3 ROW would be close to current, at least much farther than 2004.
EB3 ROW is at Jun 2004. But as per latest USCIS inventory, EB3 ROW pending 485's are around 48,000. Visa numbers available every year for EB3 is approximately 42k. If you deduct the backlogged EB3 countries (4x3000) visa numbers, the total comes down to 30k for EB3 ROW. So EB3 ROW should become current or atleast Jul 07 in another 1.5 years. If this is not going to happen, it means they are diverting the EB3 numbers to some other categories.
