Hope we get our EAD approval soon.
I think they had a system glitch for some time. All the people who got an LUD on 7/22 essentially means that TSC had received the FP on that date.
I have an infopass on 14th I will see what information they will provide.

why would EB2 retrogress to before 2003? It was at 2003 for a long time (8 months?). The only people still with PD of EB2 2002 are the ones just getting out of BEC, there cant be too many of them...
Yes, I agree. For the same reason, there may not be much EB3 2001 and 2002 cases left. Hence Eb3 would move to 2003 soon.

Not only do you get SS but you also have to pay taxes to US irrespective of where you live for the rest of your life. So on a net it is still arguable depending on your long term residency plan. Look at the other drive they are doing for create a fund of $10000.00 If they endorse you (thats we) will get response in that order. Can you please ask Aman to do that, and that way we will have more voice.

Not sure why most of you, even senior guys(by join date, and not by # of posts) just rememer the $3500 part all the time with my name :) but miss what we said. Go n read it again.And if Core endorses does effort, I will not be surprised if there will be contribution from as much as 5000 members each of $100 on avg= $500,000. No kidding, thats the pain EB3 is facing.. Anyone to disagree??.

It is not advised to double file, perhaps you'll get this back sooner than expected and then send it to the lockbox, dunno why they are complicating things as it is there are enough complications :-(

I'm not even asking for the loss of revenue my company has endured due to our customers (high profile banks) slashing their IT expenditure. I cannot. Don't compensate me for the ripple effect but at least compensate me for the prospect of job losses me and thousands like me face this HISTORIC year of 2009, when a white president has entered the black house ..oops a black president has entered the white house.

That photograph went into Washington Mutual's file as income proof. If you think, the housing crisis is because of defaulters, you are partially wrong! Prices went very high and people couldnt buy and that is the reason home prices went down. Since it went down, loans backed up by those very assets lost value. And people defaulted because what they owe was higher than the value of home!

Hello All,
I found a unique way to cope with the stress of our immigration nightmare.
I always feared that this long wait to get the status issue settled would kill the entrepreneurial spirit that I have. The burning desire to do my own thing.
I have been trading stocks for the past 4 years or so now but just recently got interested in PDT - Pattern Day Trading (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pattern_day_trader) (Clickable)
I have found it very interesting as well as rewarding in terms of fulfilling the urge to do something more than what I am doing right now.
It is not easy and it is not for the weak hearted but the rewards are wholesome and tremendous.
I would like people who are interested to "PM" me or post replies here so we can exchange ideas
IMP NOTE: Trading stocks is a type of investment so It is perfectly legal to do so. You do not even require an EAD to do so .
No doubt that if you do have EAD you can trade as business entity as well.
Last but not the least
Do not forget to to keep the momentum up at IV and do donate to IV as often as you can .

Have you tried Infopass.
If not you should schedule an appointment and try to find out what is going on. Also, see what else can be done to get your EAD approved.

It all boils down to "who has a US degree and who hasnt"..well, Mr logiclife, You dont know the value of a US degree simply because you dont have one! I want my GC as much as some people here without a US degree, but to classify a US degree as being the same as "warm spit" is just plain "uneducated". Now, I really appreciate all that immigrationvoice.org is doing for our community, but some of the these stupid racist comments from the so-called administartors,with such an attitude,who happen to meet the US lawmakers scares me a lot.
There are people who have done Masters in computer science in USA, graduated in 2002 and 2003 from top 50 universities and ended up getting training from desi bodyshops who we all love to hate. That training made them capable of gettting H1 and paycheck, not the books they read in US masters courses.
If US universities were up to the job of teaching people what was demanded by market, these folks wouldnt have had to go to desi bodyshops do get training.
I dont have US masters. I had enrolled in US masters degree in fall 2000. I left after 1 semester. During my brief stint as a student of Masters in Computer Science, I did get an opportunity to see what the courses are and what they really teach.
The reason I am lashing at some folks here is that some people are thinking that the Durbin-Grassley bill will benefit them because it will end consulting. Some people dont realize that most US masters degree holders, both MBA and MS (Computer science) find out that in order to get an H1, consulting is THE ONLY OPTION, especially when INTEL, Oracle and Cisco arent recruiting, they do go and stand in queue in front of consutling companies (Desi or otherwise). Also, people doing full-time jobs in silicon valley (what some people call "real jobs") also do fall back to consulting when they are laid off.
When employees of chipmaking and software development companies are laid off en masse, (and many of whom have masters degree from USA) where do they do to fall back and file H1 before the grace period expires?

To say that US masters degree holders dont need "Consulting" is the most stupid comment I have ever heard. Also, how important you are to this country or tech industry is to be decided by your boss and your employer. Not by what degrees you have in your resume. Talk to lawmakers about the redundancy of the Labour Certification and the Quota processes.
Explain it this way. An employer needs someone for a job. They advertise the job, and find no qualified Americans for the job. They get the Secretary of Labour to certify that there are no Americans for the job (BTW, that's what a "Labour Certificate" is...it the US Department of Labour certifying there are no Americans qualified to do your job!).
Then that company, who has a need for an employee, needs to wait up to 10 years to hire someone permanently for that job (that's the Visa Number quota system). This is horrible for business productivity.
Either one of these systems is reasonable by itself. They both serve to prevent a swamping of the US labour market by "cheap" immigrant labour. But both combined together serve to seriously hinder business productivity, while doing nothing additional to protect American workers.
I've found that every American that I walk through this hypothetical all look at me incredulously and say "It's that screwed up?"

I has been almost 9 months after audit reply at Chicago. All of my colleagues who filed after me, got certified. It feels like I am the only loser around at work.
