but what i actually did was simply threaten the CEO that I would file a DOL complaint if I didn't' receive my paycheck in the next 3 days. It worked like magic!
p.s. I never did actually file that complaint though. In retrospect I probably didn't intend to either in order to avoid the legal hassle...

Billu, don't do that mistake. If they are lucky then they will get in if not then the consulate will simply cancel their appointment and ask them to reapply again. In that case, they will have to pay for the visa fees all over again and go through the entire process. I think you should take this issue to your local congressman and the senator. That is the best solution and I do not think IV will do anything for this since this is completely an administration issue with the Delhi Consulate. Summer time and too many people are applying for the visa and less staffs at the consulate too.
So do not select English and ask for a translator.
Speaking by experience..Delhi/Mumbai always has translators..thats just how it works there..the only way to get an appointment is to take it in English..go there and ask for a translator..no senator/anyone else can help in this matter..it's pretty straight forward..good luck..

Myself and my spouse have EAD and Valid H1 and H4 Stamping till Oct 2007.I haven't used my EAD but my wife started working on EAD. I haven't applied for Advance parole.
Q1) We need to travel outside the country in the next couple of months. Do me or my wife need Advance parole or can we re-enter using Valid H1 and H4? ( I know I read from some forums that we can ? Am I right ?)
Q2) We can apply for H1 and H4 extension before 6 months of expiration. Can we travel outside after applying or do we have to wait until approvals come in ?

Yes I got finger print notification for my son. He is 6 years old. I didnt pay any FP fees. But I got the notification. For me & wife it is on 10/19/2007 and for my son, it is 10/23/2007. Looks like FP is required for Kids also with free of charge.

Agenda is how do we get our concerns on the lawmakers table and their agenda. As stated so many times by the CORE we cannot expect to have our language in the Bill the day it is being tabled. Instead we should be working much ahead of time leading to the introduction.

I don't know what Fragomen did or did not do and I don't condone them in anyway if they have done anything wrong. But reading the article posted by eb3_retro, doesn't it seem like the MOTIVATION for this, at this time could be purely political. Who knows what went on in the back rooms before the audit began. I am sure many here would have thought about this since GC (esp EB3) has little hopes.
Wanted to open up pros & cons on immigations to canada.
I am thinking just applying for the PR and kept it as a back up then later decide if moving to canada is worth it etc based on jobs there... family needs etc at a later point in time. I think I should have those this 2 yrs ago and by now I would have had my PR:mad:

I have a questions about photographs, do you know if there is any specific place for photographs as per uscis specifications. Did anyone receive RFE for photographs? I am thinking about going to CVS for photos.
What I have heard is this: They used to be very picky about photographs when they were using it for the cards, now they mostly use the picture taken during biometrics appointment and so RFEs to send "better pictures" are much less now.
I got them at Costco and had no problems.
