Since you bring this up, I would like to let you know that I have done a cash contributed IV once in 2007 and had also sent several emails to my friends at that time requesting them contribute. This is when USCIS agreed to accept 485 applications. Looking at your infuriating posts on the board I am wondering what productive role have you played here? Please don't blindly talk when you don't know my history.
That was 4 years ago. What did you do for IV in 4 years? Rollingstone was right saying you will go away after getting EAD. In 2007 you got EAD because of IV and have not come to IV. You have appeared again because you have problem with EAD. What about the larger EAD and greencard problem? Have you thought about helping others too?

H1b will only be considered valid when its stamped (even if you enter on AP). If you dont have a valid stamped h1b then it will be considered abandoned...H1b is dual intent.
OK, so I could have an H1B approval (I-797) without a stamped H1B and still enter on AP with my H1B status intact ?

MLK used Gandhian principles to lead the Anti Segregation movement; we used the same philosophy while protesting against USCIS. Using the MLK memorial in Atlanta as a backdrop to stage the rally would surely be helpful in gathering media attention.
Using catchy slogans to highlight the similar adherence to Gandhian principles in both the movements would certainly get a lot of media attention.

Both my spouse and I got our 485 receipts yesterday. Our application reached USCIS on July 2nd but the receipt date on the notice is August 30. Why this discrepency?
I thought we had sent it to NSC, but the receipt says "We have trasferred the application or petition to the USCIS office at Nebraska Service Center..." :confused:
I think the August 30 is the Notice Date. Please check again.

On my 7th year extension and need to revalidate my multiple entry visa.
Did you guys hear about rejections for the visa applicants assuming a normal legal status throughout the H1-b period. If there are instances of rejection I would go to Canada which is a boondoggle given we have few vacation days.
They aught to fix this and revalidate the visa within US like the good old days. It is equivalent to going to Canada.

I think there is something called 'last action rule' or similar, which basically means that if you entered the US again and got a new I-94 card, then your past transgressions are forgiven/pardoned.
It would have been worse if you stayed and did not leave the country. In my humble opinion, your lawyer is wrong about this.
Check the I-94 threads on Murthy forums, you will get more information.
Of course speaking to an independent immigration attorney should be your priority # 1.

Hello,
Once I-140 is approved & if I transfer my case to another attorney, how will I get notice about finger-printing etc.
What I mean is how rest of the Correspondence takes place once I-140 is approved, I know that there is finger-printing etc.
Can this Correspondence possible without the involvement of attorney and company??

i called doctors for canda medicals no one is giving clear answers

In fact, in fiscal year 2007, the supply of H1-B visas did not last eight weeks into the filing period, and ran out more than four months before the fiscal year even began; and in fiscal year 2008, the supply ran out on the first day of the filing period.
Our green card system, also last devised in 1990, faces severe shortages that most heavily impact the high technology industry, forcing some of the most innovative contributors to our economy to wait well in excess of five years for a green card. Because of these delays we are seeing more and more of these talented individuals leave their U.S. jobs and return home.
If states like ours are to remain world leaders in innovation and intend to continue to see the job growth that is so vital to our economies, we must keep our employers in our states and ensure there is a skilled workforce in this country to fill their immediate needs. I have a valid H1B (years 4-6) though I have not renewed the stamp in my passport. I am currently working on my H1B at my sponsoring employer. I have used the EAD to do some freelance work.
Can I still use the H1B to travel outside the country?
Yes, although to re-enter on an H1B you would need to get it stamped.

A lot of the phone numbers in the list we have are missing "names"... just amazing how much importance people assign to being anonymous!

What's happening with I-485 Adjudications these Days @ TSC. Why aren't they pre-adjudicating the applications like NSC, though the Processing times show 07/31/2009 on USCIS site. Did anybody receive RFE's who applied or had I-485 tranferred to TSC.
Please post your comments whose Application is pending at TSC.

I would file at any cost. Nobody knows what is goona happen in the coming months or years. I think dates will remain U after 17th Aug till something happens legally.God only knows when this will happen.
The dates are current now.So USCIS will not consider the PD as the criteria to issue a VISA. All applications are treated with eqaul importance now.
(Remember the FBI namechecks. If your name gets stuck for months/years,person who applied months after you may get the same VISA number if his FBI namecheck gets through in days.)
They will give us Receipt # (With this Receipt # you can file for EAD / AP) and I-485 Goes into PENDING Status ... once VISA Number available for your country then they will give u the VISA Number ..... (Process I-485) i think so.................. and also PD Count here....
