I agree with hpandey. What your employer is doing is illegal. He can get into a lot of trouble for not paying you. You need to report this guy to the DOL.
Regarding your status, contact an immigration lawyer to see if you can change your status to H4 ASAP.

I entered US with a H4 visa which was till June 2007.and then applied for my H4 extension
and got it till May 2009.last year i applied for my H1 visa and got approved.I 94 i got with it is till May 2011.I didnt get any project and didnt have any paystubs.now i want to apply for my H4 extension along with my spouse H1 extension.

I had sent a check with numbers for some other application (I864) and the check was accepted and I have got the receipt notice as well.
I dont think it matters as long as they get the money :-)
Also, I don't think they would have different rules for wirting a check for I-485. Just chill and relax

Thank you very much guys. I reported them to the Department of Labor. I actually called them based on the phones number that were given their website.My ex-employer is in NY. I called the Buffalo department of labor(federal). She took all my details and ex-employer details. She said that she will follow up with them and ask them to send the check. Meanwhile, I will try to approach the NY state department of labor.

Usually it's a letter from a new employer describing your position and expressing intent to hire you long-term. And yes, you will have to provide paychecks from the old employer as a proof you stayed there for 180 days.
I am not sure if staying with the old employer for 180 days is a Necessary Requirement, as GC is future job.
How this is going to hold true if someone files I-485 from company,which the person do not work for [Third Party]. AND want to use AC-21.
The above scenario will result into person never working for the original petitioner.

From my personal recent experience, I efiled my EAD 04/16/2008.
I have already received my biometrics notice on 04/21/2008 in the mail after filing.
I just sent my documents yesterday 04/21/2008.
I have sent
1. Original EAD paper in which my EAD came.
2. Copy of my I-485 receipt
3. Receipt notice of Efiling of EAD ( Which gets generated after you file)
I havent received approval, but I guess that is all required to prove you are eligible for EAD, Since you have a pending I-485 case.

Please apply for kontera ads. I have experience using both google adsense, kanoodle ads and kontera ads. Kontera ads have always fetched 5 times more revenue on websites with more content.
Coming back to google adwords. I have used google adwords for the past 15 months. Better results can be achieved by doing SEO optimizations rather than adwords. Adwords can get prohibitively expensive in immigration related matters as there are lawyers who will be competing with us for adwords placements.
Again, if we have decided to use adwords, then i suggest use an overture keyword tool to see, the popular keywords used by surfers on popular search engines.

Please call him and thank him over the phone guys. Don't count on just the lobbyist to guide him. We're a grass root org and we need to do what we've to do.
Btw, Senator used to have Tuesday Tea party in Dallas. (http://cornyn.senate.gov/index.asp?f=page&pid=17&lid=1 ) This is open to anyone, you've to mail in advance and confirm your appointment. I think it'll start again next year. Some of us should go there when it opens up and thank him and show our support.

I applied for renewal last Oct 2008 and never got a fingerprint renewal notice. My new card arrived January 2009 for 2 years.
Did you read my post before posting yours? If you paper-filed you will NOT get a notice for biometrics appointment BUT you will be finger-printed and photographed if you submit your application online. So the relevant question: Did you e-filed or submitted paper form?

Hello Everyone,
I am new on this forum and was wondering if someone can shed some light on my situation. I have been waiting for a decision on my I-601 and I-212 petitions filed with the Vermont Service Center in Sept 2006. After two and a half years, on Feburary 23 at 10:30am in the morning, much to my delight I recieved two e-mails from CRIS stating that an approval notice has been sent. I check the case status on line and it stated the same thing, Approval Notice Sent. I was on cloud nice all day long.
However, the very next day I fell out of my chair when I got two more e-mails from CRIS generated on Feb 24 at 5:45am in the morning stating that denial notice has been sent for I-601 and I-212. I could not believe what I was seeing. I called USCIS customer service right away and was transfered to second level support who pretty much read off the denial notice sent message. I explained that I had recieved two approval e-mails from CRIS and the case status also showed that approval notices have been sent (luckily I made a pdf of the USCIS online status screen showing the approval). Anyhow, customer service was of no help. Now I am waiting to see what I physcially get in the mail. Nonetheless, I am so devasted and broken. Why approve the case and in less then 24 hours send a denial e-mail.
Can someone please advise?

We are really looking for people who have ported to AC21 using self-employment and got their I-485 approved. Are there any real examples?. Do you know anyone out there?
santb1975, if my memory serves me right, unitednation was self employed for a period before he got his GC. I read it on the net, and as most things don't remember the link. The gist of it was: in the interview unitednation was asked about it, and he defended it successfully. But I think he was employed at the time of the GC.

I don't think you are the only one that has this problem. I think a lot of Indian names are so common that you can get stuck in name check. That having been said, I read some place that only about 20% of the ppl get stuck in NC. Should "we" ask the FBI director to allow FBI to contact us directly? We would all like that but I don't think we have a concerted effort and enough support to ask for NC issues. Most ppl (and rightly so) are concerned about retrogression.

My I-140 got approved from my current company. I got a good offer from another company and they are ready to start my greencard process, but being a big company, they will apply for my labor only 6 months after joining the new company. My 6 year period on H1 end in March, 2007. I am planning to get a 3 year extension from the current company and then switch to the new company may be after 2 months.
Will there be any problems with what I am planning to do?
I am not particularly concerned about porting my priority date because of the offer I got.
Please give some suggestions.
