You can try Lufthansa via frankfurt(dont require a transit visa)

I dont think returning your old passport really makes a difference( if you have a photo copy of it).
We got stamped in New Delhi Consulate( did not get dates for Mumbai at that time and dates were hard to get during those days ).

As per my Lawyer H1 is not impacted by using AP. He said you should be fine. Now i am confused
AS I shared my experience earlier, in order to continue on H1B, amendment need to be filed. Even if spouse has valid H1B and entered using AP, Same thing applies even though she is dependent.

So my understanding is,
If I dont file now, even though my priority date is Nov, 2004 under EB2 category, there is possibility that the dates will retrogress so badly and USCIS will not accept any more I-485 for years down the line.
If my understanding is correct, I will file now.

Let me explain personal experience. exit with old ap and get into new AP.
In 2008 My wife left to India with old AP. and came back with new AP(it was approved when she is in India). Nobody questioned on this. I think they will see only AP is valid or not. Thats it.

Those who have dry hands...I suggest putting vaseline the day before and on the day of FP....This is not a joke. But my friends mom has terrible hands and I had taken her the first time, but she has been called the 3rd time for FP. Also I have worked in Labs where FP is analyzed, they suggest if the hand is moist, it is easy to take prints. So please do not blame the Service Center people please be humble and accept their services gracefully and if needed put some vaseline on your fingers and do FP again.

I think you need to look into the fact that if a child (under 18) is a US Citizen by birth, then the single provider (mother or father) can apply to become a citizen based upon that. I had a college friend from Russia who got her citizenship rather quickly based upon the fact that her child was born in the US. She did not pursue the employment based green card process.
Of course, this is anecdotal, best to confer with an attorney.

Is it ok if I ask which lawyers? Coz my lawyer said to be on the safe side it is best to wait for 180 days from the notice date.
